Events & Programs
Join us in Maryland to honor, restore, and remember the sacred stories preserved in historic African American burial grounds.
Why Your Participation Matters
At Carroll Farmhouse Cemetery and similar historic African American sites, generations of resilience, faith, and community are laid to rest. Too many of these sacred places have suffered neglect, vandalism, or erasure. Through cleanups, workshops, guided tours, and memorial events, we restore dignity, document forgotten histories, and ensure descendants and future generations can connect with this irreplaceable heritage.
Every pair of hands, every shared story, every preserved marker helps fight historical erasure and builds pride in Maryland and Volusia County. Whether you’re a descendant, local resident, student, historian, or simply someone who values justice and memory — your involvement creates lasting change.
